Since 2003, this patented technology has operated in Europe proving its capability to process laminated glass and other types of flat glass. The disposal of laminated glass is a significant problem today and is expected to increase as the global automobile fleet doubles during the next 20 years.

The Process 

Laminated glass is processed through the system which separates the glass from PVB. Approximately 90% becomes "glass cullet", which is  recycled into a number of new products including fiber glass, while approximately 7% becomes PVB fractions (which are reprocessed into pellets and recycled into a number of new products). The remaining percentage is rubber and other scrap.
